Fancy yourself as a computer whiz?... Maybe you’re au faut with the steel industry?... Or better yet, handy with mathematical algorithms?
If this sounds like you, $20,000 could be yours!
Being able to predict the movements of stock market commodities has historically been a very complex endeavour. However, recent studies have highlighted how novel machine learning techniques could predict changes in market sentiment. Stock market sentiment describes overall investor consensus towards a certain financial stock, with rising stock prices resulting in heightened market sentiment.
The Seeker desires an algorithm which is able to take various steel industry related non-numerical inputs (i.e. RSS feeds, news articles, blogs) and produce a greed/fear index which is able to gauge changes in investor sentiment. Resulting greed/fear indices would formulate an input for a broader forecasting model which could predict future oscillations of investor attitudes towards market stocks.
Informed stock market projections are able to uncover future market behaviours and facilitate greater investment coherence.
Could your algorithm be the solution?
